Underrated Game Changers

Some players fill the stat sheet. Others change the game. This group does both, and they do it without always demanding the spotlight. Versatile wings, tough-minded guards, and relentless competitors who impact winning in ways that don’t always show up in headlines. They defend, they create, they score in big moments, and they bring an edge every time they step on the floor.

Tommy Moffett - W - Fremd

Tommy Moffett is a versatile wing who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. Moffett has shown the ability to score at all three levels while also guarding multiple positions defensively. Moffett’s size and athleticism allow him to finish through contact, and he’s comfortable stepping out to knock down perimeter shots. His motor and competitiveness make him a key piece in big moments, especially in transition and late-game situations. Has had a great senior campaign so far for an elite Fremd group.

Phillip Jones - CG - East Saint Louis

Phillip Jones is a dynamic combo guard who thrives in uptempo play. Jones attacks the rim aggressively and creates opportunities for himself and teammates. Jones is an automatic paint touch and an excellent assist man. On an East Saint Louis squad with several other high-level scorers, his passing and playmaking abilities have truly blossomed. Jones combines acute quickness with strength, allowing him to finish in traffic and defend opposing guards effectively. His energy on both ends of the ball sets the tone, and he plays with a confidence that elevates his team in high-intensity situations.

Terriyon Webster - CG - East Saint Louis

Terriyon Webster brings toughness and scoring ability to the backcourt. A physical guard, he’s capable of breaking down defenders off the dribble and hitting perimeter shots when defenses collapse. Webster’s defensive intensity stands out — he embraces tough matchups and contributes in the passing lanes. His competitive edge and ability to rise in big games make him a valuable asset.

Logan Luxem - CG - Hersey

Logan Luxem is a steady and skilled combo guard who plays with poise and fluidity. Luxem's strong court vision and shot-making ability have been on display all season with Hersey. Luxem is one of the smoothest guards in the state, a snake-like ball handler with positive physical traits and advantages over others in his position. Luxem can control tempo, facilitate offense, and look for his own scoring opportunities when needed. He’s a reliable perimeter shooter and smart decision-maker, making him a consistent presence in tight contests.

Charlie Pomis - CG - Hersey

Charlie Pomis is the second piece to Hersey's one-two punch backcourt. Pomis is a confident scorer with tremendous athletic pop, providing instant offense from the guard spot. He’s effective attacking off the bounce and is capable of heating up from beyond the arc. Pomis plays with aggressiveness and isn’t afraid of big shots. His ability to stretch the floor and run in transition makes him a versatile and dangerous guard.

Braylon Walker - CG - Warren Township

Braylon Walker is an athletic and explosive combo guard who brings intensity every possession. This season at Warren, Walker has been the piece that completes the puzzle. The Jaxson Davis & Braylon Walker duo is simply elite. Walker has showcased the ability to attack downhill, pressure defenses, and operate in the midrange/paint area. Walker competes hard defensively, using his physicality to disrupt ball handlers. His combination of athleticism and drive gives Warren a spark, especially in transition and momentum-shifting plays.
