Colin Stack is a game-changing prospect that every Division One program should be recruiting.
Colin Stack, a 7’1 C, possesses all the ability you could ask for out of a modern big. Interior finishing with an extremely consistent pick and pop/catch and shoot three-point game—lob threat in the half court, and an incredible rim protector. Stack will posturize defenders with force, catch nearly any lob throw his way, and even space the floor significantly. Very mobile, Stack can run the floor in transition, either trailing for a catch and shoot three or beating his defender down the court for the slam.
Stack has thus far flown under the radar for most programs; however, he is a game changer. Stack has the rare ability to impact a program single-handedly. He is the best player in Illinois and easily a top 150 recruit being one of the best modern centers in the nation.
No question, Colin Stack is a high-major division one talent. The upside with Stack is tremendous. Stack is an IHSA state champion with Benet Academy and comes from a lineage of basketball success. His dad played at Purdue, and his cousin, Frank Kaminsky, played in the NBA.
The lineage of basketball success does not only run throughout Stack’s blood, but also throughout his AAU program. Playing AAU with Full Package Athletics, Stack is in line to be the next great basketball player out of the program since Terrence Shannon Jr. (c/o 2019) and Matas Buzelis (c/o 2023).
Now a senior at Benet Academy, Stack turns his focus to bringing home back-to-back state titles for the Redwings. With another year of high school development ahead, Stack’s rapidly improving body, motor, and skills will surely be ready for the next step: the NCAA.
Buy Stack’s stock now because in the next three-four years, he will be one of the best American-born bigs in basketball.
